We are not invited to displace or replace any family’s personal clergy, volunteer services, or weekly ceremonies. Rather, we act to broaden the support provided through clergy and volunteer services, as there may be interest for onsite studies and services. Senior Living Chaplains do not promote a specific church or spiritual doctrine. They, however, are locally based to fully understand the local nuances and connections to other support entities.
Our focus is a one-on-one, personal and confidential relationship between our Chaplain and any staff, management, resident, patient or family member.
We save administrators and companies thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours as our comprehensive and turnkey approach includes identifying, hiring and training Chaplains, as well as providing continuing education, management, accountability, resources and Chaplain activity numbers to company management.
This fact of today’s society and senior living community may seem like a challenge. However, health, personal, and job-related problems along with crises events are not specific to one ethnicity or religion. We serve many senior living communities across the US, and have diverse people with our male, female and ethnically diverse Chaplain Care Teams. In fact, your Chaplain Care Team will be customized to reflect employee and resident profiles at each of your locations. Our Care Service is not a religious or “church at work” program, and Chaplains will not preach, promote a church or judge individual conduct or lifestyle. They will address universal problems that negatively impact your people and your community. Chaplains will build relationships of trust and confidence with your residents and employees so they feel comfortable discussing their concerns regarding marital, family, financial, aging parent, children, stress, death and dying, as well as serious illness or other sensitive issues. Since 1984, we have successfully operated with this proven approach, similar to hospitals and professional sports teams, in both private and public firms.
Of course, great senior living communities care about their people! Our Chaplain Care Teams are branded by the community they support, so our care reflects directly back to your leadership! Over the years of providing our services, we have found only 20% of employees will ever surface a sensitive, personal problem to management or leadership. If they do, most leaders do not possess the training and background of our Chaplains to effectively deal with the situation.
As leaders, the question becomes how can we best care for our staff of caregivers. Our research has shown that being neutral from company operations eases the minds of employees and provides a level of confidence to use the care. While local clergy care about their community, they do not constitute a team, nor are they backed by over 2,700 Chaplains to help family members separated by geography, employees at multiple locations or employees who travel. In addition, management and/or local clergy may not have adequate background, applicable workplace experience, management oversight, accountability or the professional training and continuing education modules our Chaplain Care Teams possess.
